Fuller Gardens under Restoration!

In order to continue to present horticulture at the highest level, we are presently undergoing a restoration to re-align the Gardens to their original design. In order to be as accurate as possible, we will be reviewing the newly discovered original maps drawn between 1925 and 1937 to get a firm idea of historic plant material and design characteristics. Together with the Fuller Gardens staff, Marion Pressley, Landscape Preservationist and Historian of Cambridge, MA will be reviewing the original blueprints and plant lists. Through the course of the next several months, certain sections under restoration may be disturbed or otherwise upset during the work process. The areas that will be affected by this rehabilitation will be the entrance and the surrounding parking lot area, the entrance into the ‘Side Garden’ and sections therein, along with the ‘Back Garden.’

It is because of the continual strong support we receive from our members, faithful visitors and the Fuller Foundation that this restoration and other improvements over the years can be made possible. We will update you as to the progress here on our web-site and at the gift shop.

On behalf of the Trustees, Crew and Volunteers, I thank-you!

With Best Regards,

Jamie M. Colen
