Q. Where is Governor and Mrs. Fuller’s estate?
A. It was torn down in 1961. All that remains are the gates to the old entrance, located directly across from our Front Garden gate.
Q. Do the Fullers still own Fuller Gardens?
A. No. The Gardens are run by the Fuller Foundation of New Hampshire, which is a non-profit organization.
Q. Is it possible to be a member of Fuller Gardens?
A. Yes, there is a membership program available, as well as a volunteer program.
Q. When is the best time to visit the Gardens?
A. Anytime! In May there is an extensive tulip display, as well as the Wisteria, Azaleas, and Rhododendrons blooming in the Japanese Garden. These are followed by the perennials, annuals, and roses, which bloom through October.
Q. When do the roses bloom?
A. The first bloom is in late June or early July, and continues through to a killing frost.
Q. How many gardeners does it take to keep Fuller Gardens going?
A. There are six full-time gardeners in the summer, and three of these work all year round.
